Finished it! I am really proud of this colorful mess, which one do you prefer? The ink blob scrap or this colorful ink blob that's not a scrap? Lol

Gaster pressed the button, slipping down on his knees infront of the core, panting as his soul cracked and got wrapped with the black matter the pure magic had become.

The pure magic and lava they had harvested had been very useful for making artificial souls and powering the core; but at direct contact with monsters, it melted them and turned into a black matter consuming their magic.

The same hadn't happened with sans, whom fell into the pit, no, was pushed into the pit of magic.
Gaster was lucky to survive pulling him out, but now his HP was at pretty much zero, and his body disfunction and disfigured.
He spat out the contents in his cracked mouth, now shaped into a jarring grin. "that. Bastard." he said with a raspy and rather incoherent voice.

The lab rumbled, the piece of platform he was on was not going to hold on for much longer; he had fixated the core, so he was sure it wasn't going to fall.
If it did, it would cause an explosion that would wipe out all of hotland and a piece of new home.

He coughs, grasping at his soul, it hurt, it hurt so badly; he could hardly breath or concentrate anymore.
He closed his eyes, trying to conjure a hand to get him out of that mess; the darkness was... Peaceful, he slowly got heavier and heavier and....

"DAAAAAD!!! LET ME GO! LET ME GET HIM! POPS!!!"

"No sans! It's far too dangerous and you're too injured."
"LET ME GO ASGORE!"

WD snaped back to his senses as he heard his son yelling in agony, he turned his head.
Sans was being held by asgore who had arrived after the alarms set off.
Gaster lifted his foot, support his weight still on one knee, and tried to Stand up; he wobbled and fell face first onto the floor. He growned, shaking as he tried to lift his weight with his melted and cracked arms.

He let out a sigh of defeat, he was tired and in pain, he had already stabilized the core; all he wanted was to go back to his family, but that seemed like a farfetched dream.

Accepting his depressing fate, he looked up and tried to smile at sans.
"sans, take care of papyrus for me, alright? I'm... I'm sorry I can't come home with you tonight.. Please forgive me..."
His mind was fuzzy and heavy, his voice a mix of wing ding and English mixed in a way that was barely recognizable as words; he hoped sans understood.

Sans struggled trying to get out of asgore's grasp.

The platform shook and tumbled down, taking Gaster with him.

"DAD!!!"

Gaster fell into the pit of magic that turned black upon contact, sinking deeper and deeper, his body filled with black liquid, melting him into something;
He could feel the determination Leaving his soul and body.

The Royal scientist sighed one last time, squeezing his blackening soul before closing his eye sockets, accepting death as it wrapped around him.

Or so he thought.

¦honestly Drawing the liquid magic was by far the most difficult challenge for me, i always have problems drawing non solid things, I need to practice more.
