Description Long overdue art trade with =SpitfiresOnIce of their characters Farraige (the horse-like creature) and Vana (the cat) playing in a vortex of swirls. The paper (with the swirls) is 3D, so it actually has a slight three-dimensional effect.

I really hope you like it! I tried a bunch of new things and finally managed to draw a passable cat. Materials: Bristol, 3D and blue paper, prismacolor markers and colored pencils.

I do not know of this paper that is 3D effect you used but with this black swirl patterns it is very unique to me. I do think that Pegasus with the shades of grey wing looks very nice, and also how he looks so curiously at that cat. The cat also looks like a stuffed animal of sorts in this pic, but the image looks great and a bit different all the same.

The style is slightly different with this one, but it was fun to do. I was trying to give the cat a sort of cute and fluffy look so the fact that she looks like a stuffed animal is probably a good thing c:

This is ADORABLE! It looks like they are playing with each other, how cute And their poses are so awesome! Even though you might not be used to drawing cats I love how Vana turned out anyway. But Farraige is adorable as well, for some reason I really like those furry ears
The background looks nice and swirly! 3 dimensional, huh? That's awesome!
You did an AMAZING job! Its gorgeous and I just LOVE it! Thank you so much fo trading with me!

Hehe! I haven't seen you do a big piece in a while. I don't really have a lot time at the moment, so I'll try my best...
I like the effect you have done with the background for starters. I read in the description that the swirls are 3 dimensional. I thought that was pretty impressive and creative of you. Where did you get that idea?
I like the positions of both Farraige and Vana. It looks like they're playing with each other or something. I thought it was cute! I also like the shading and how you did the markings on both of the characters. ^^
I do think their looks on their faces look a bit blank. It doesn't really look like Vana is looking at Farraige. Maybe you should made her head look up a bit more, unless she isn't supposed to look at him. XD (I really dunno, and I hope I wasn't too harsh )
But otherwise, excellent job on the piece!

Yeah, more big pieces should be coming soon (as I am neglecting studying for the finals I have this coming week). . But thank you for another amazing comment. I agree with the look on Farraige's face, I think her eye came out a tad off, but I am quite pleased with Vana (since I usually have failure attempts at drawing cats).

Oh, sweet! (Good luck on it!) Heehee, you're welcome. I think it still turned out pretty nice. I see you're experimenting with a new style. It doesn't really look like your regular style, but I think you listened to the critiques of your other big Deviation "Timelock". (yes, I read the critiques XD)
I still thought you did an excellent job. I hope I get to do a trade, since I have improved a lot and I'm trying out a new coloring and inking technique.

P.S. Have you tried drawing chibi/cartoon humans? I think they might be easier since you don't really have to get the body proportions right if you do cartoon humans.
