Wow!! That is so freaking gorgeous, love the historical context behind it! If you don't mind, what brush did you use to create this amazing piece?

Thank you so much! Glad you like it and I don't mind at all!
I used a custom oil brush for Photoshop, but I usually use the default chalk brush in ps. There isn't much difference between the two, though. This is because I prefer a more rectangular shape of the brush over the usual circular brushes that you find in paint tool SAI or photoshop's default basic brushes. (since there aren't any actual perfectly circular brushes in real life that I know of haha, and I try to base my painting technique off of traditional oil painters') However, I've noticed in my artwork, and many other artists too, that the type of brush you use doesn't really matter, since it's just a tool, and in order to paint well, the fundamentals (color theory, values, structure and drawing) need to be learned and utilized. I have a tip for painting, though, and it is to paint in the direction of the contour of the object, and to realize that no color exists by itself. It's always supported (for lack of a better word) by other colors.
So yeah, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask away!
