Description Finally finished, this portrait has taken weeks to complete but it's finally done and I couldn't be happier. All in all this must have taken over 20 hours but I stopped counting about a third of the way through. The portrait is of Rakim - a pioneer in hip-hop and one of the all time greats.

very nice, getting into inner details with tones and all but I think the ear on the left is out of focus and the cracks on the lips could connect more to the actual lips
after all really nice you should be happy about it ^^

thanks for the honest feedback its always helpful to hear if a drawing has any shortcomings. Since you mentioned the ear, thats kind of how the original picture looks (high amount of focus in the foreground which is the nose and mouth, lower focus as you pan outward towards the ear). Definitely not trying to say this is a perfect portrait, but that aspect in particular is supposed to look like that.
Anyways, thanks for the comment, I'm definitely happy how this turned out!
