1. track zero: prologue

when I sit really still with a bucket on my head,
I can feel the earth’s rotation, and I’m in my own world.
the sun burns memories into my mind of watching sunsets with you,
but I wish that the sun only reminded me of childhood sunburns.
that was when I was okay. the sun blocks and blinds me from lot of things,
but it does not block out these memories,
and I wish I only thought about sun block
protection. and you see, nothing will stop this eight track player
from repeating over and over these reoccurring thoughts of you.

I summarize my mind using the following tracks:
1) I'm trying so hard
2) am I too late?
3) where the fuck did you go
4) stop running away
5) memories, oh, memories
6) what I hold when I can't hold you
7) please try saving me, just one more time
8) if I'm patient, could we give us one more try?

2. track c: see, you try to soften metal
because you figure it’s easier than softening your hard heart.
but look, love disguises itself in the word evolution,
so maybe your disinterest can evolve into love.

3. track o: oh, whoever you are/who you’ve become
and whoever I am/who i’ve become,
I don’t like what we have/ what we’ve become.
every new girl that likes you comes with a trashcan,
so when tomorrow's girl likes you,
remember to reuse, reduce, and recycle the girl from today.

4. track n: and instead of taking chances, we took pictures.

me for granted.

when I was waiting outside for my dad to pick me up,
I gave you the fortune from my fortune cookie.
when you used it as a band aid for your bloody thumb,
you bled all over my fortune,
and it was like your pores pissed all over our fate.
as for the future, I did not want my dad to come pick me up-
I wanted to bleed with you on the pavement forever.
