Synopsis:
What you are about to see is a myriad of alternate realities in the multiverse. If one small part of chronological history were to be changed in any other way, it would change the events and lives of people we know. There are other realities where things turned out differently, diverging from the proper flow of time. While some of these characters and events may seem familiar to you, keep in mind that nothing is as it seems when you enter one of these vast new realities and ponder the question..."What if?"

Follow the Light: A Swapped-Up AU of The Croods introduces an alternate universe that explores what would happen if the events of The Croods and The Croods: A New Age were reimagined, occurring differently by the following questions that bring unexpected changes:

- What if instead of Eep leaving the cave that night in the original, it was accidentally Thunk?

- Instead of Guy and Belt guiding the Croods in the original, it would be Dawn Betterman and Sash. During the journey, Dawn embraces her wild side and later becomes closer to Thunk, much to the surprise of Eep.

- Instead of Grug, Phil, and Guy being taken by Punch Monkeys to their homeland in the sequel, it would be Ugga, Hope, Eep, Dawn, and Gran. Ugga and Hope fight gladiator-style to see who will be the sacrifice.

- A tiny touch of romance as Dawn and Thunk are imitated with each other (For example: They dreamingly looking at each other while the other Croods struggles through the nonstop chaos of their survival.)

- Eep and Dawn bonded a little during the original, especially when they eventually get stuck in the tar pit and Dawn reveals that she was all lost and alone when she lost her back way home to her family. Eep, now has a change of heart, promises Dawn that once they search for a better place to call home, they’ll also help her get back to her family.

Everyone will never look at the story of The Croods and The Croods: A New Age the same way again in this swapped-up AU that reimagines and twist the story of the world’s first family.
