(Spoilers prolly in comments, too)Though, I'm sure many people arn't picking up Escaflowne right now in this day and age... But I was late to watch it (by around 15 years give or take xD ) So I guess it's possible.

I also did totally not see this comming. I predicted almost every other sibling dark-past plot twist except for this one.
Man, and Dilandau was so cool, too : P
I heard Allen say... basically the line above and i stared at the screen and burst out laughing. What the heck?!
So I had to go and draw this >.>
But whatever, the series was so amazing it could get away with it xD

Still holds up as a very good plot twist in this day and age. And by good plot twist, it has to have been hinted at, no matter how slightly. Definitely was not an ass-pull
