This new set of buildings is a very recent construction in the French city Lyon. I love how graphic the project looks and how colorfully and tastefully it decorates the city.EDIT I didn't expect this picture to have such a success! For a non-photographer like myself, I'm amazed by the way you frame this shot. I mean, I could take a photo of a building, but I couldn't have them set perfectly against the backdrop of sky like this, with such rich saturation of colour too.

Honestly, it's also a matter of processing. In the original picture, the sky is a bit bleaker and the contrast a bit softer. I think a picture is 20% the idea, 40% how it's taken (light+angle) and 40% how it's processed. I rarely even get one of them right, and getting all of them right is complicated, but I'm trying to improve

C'est une très belle image, tu exploites super bien les lignes et les perspectives, et tu as très bien travaillé les couleurs. Ce qu'ils ont fait là bas me fait toujours penser à un Tetris à moitier raté, j'aime beaucoup la superposition de cube (je vis à Lyon).

Very graphic, you're right. The colours are marvellous and the modern effect it's at the same time clean and interesting... nothing too much, just what it needs to avoid being "always the same thing." Very, very nice. And quite a good shot, too.

It feels almost futuristic, though I do feel that the execution aids in that portrayal to a degree... I think it's mostly because of the contrast, the sharpness, and the way you've just captured this overall.
The colours are lovely, anyway, and I think it's brilliant how you haven't captured it from the ground, but on a level that is more.. well, level with the buildings across from you and all.
Great that the clouds add further depth to things there.

I like this. I would enjoy seeing it too, if it were in my city. With Fully established trees and gardens it will be lovely.
It's a pity they decorated the fronts but if you stood in between it would look quite 'concrete jungle' and unfortunately buildings nowadays seam to use just architecture to make a building beautiful bypassing craftsmanship with overly bold repetitive patterns and whole buildings prefabricated off-site.
This photo is good though. Strong perspective, well balanced. I'd love to see it on a bright, bright sunny day when the contrast of the shadows is as strong as the bold colour features on the front
