It's good that you took this in black and white, it adds to the old rustic feel.

Awstein In reply to WitofWords [2013-08-08 18:10:07 +0000 UTC]

Thank you I do love black and white, I feel it is a more obvious choice when colors don't do much for a picture - and it can help set the mood too. I'm glad it's worked for you!

I think we can really feel the cloud there just because it is a bit foggy and unfocused... The black and white contrast really highlights the atmosphere and mood of this place and piece well. I also like how the people are quite far away as if they are indistinct and can't be made out. It emphasises the concept of being lost.

It's quite intriguing, in a barren sense.

Yep, we had to go back at some point actually because it became a dangerous climb in such conditions. Up to where we went it was perfectly safe though, thanks to the pathway - hard to get lost when you're on a pathway !

I've had a look, it looks very interesting! I have to admit, to my great shame, that I don't know a lot about fractal art :/ So I'm probably not the best person to give my opinion one way or the other, but as far as I'm concerned, I rather liked what I saw!

Ooh, you don't have to know anything in order to like/dislike fractal images, so don't sweat. I am really glad you like mine Fractal geometry is the math of the new science of chaos and complexity Below some recycled info about fractals:

First: Check out the zoom sequences (only images) from page 4 in the pdf's BlomkΓ₯lsfort and De blΓ₯ spiralernas oΓ€ndlighet. The end motives are my deviations Cauliflowerfort and Blue Spirals

Second: In this journal you have some links to short cool fractal animations I stumbled over at YouTube.

Third: If you wanna try some free simple fractal software, go to this journal. You don't need to know the math behind

Fourth: Wikipedia has a nice site.

Fifth: Maybe you would appreciate my Chaotic series of fractal articles if you have a little theoretical interest

.. and from the middle of the nineties there is a fantastic TV program about fractals, Colors of Infinity by Arthur Clarke Really beautiful soundtracks

Hope you don't feel spammed
