Because I didn't show you anything ever. :V
That, and you stalk my gallery anyway, so it's not like you'd miss anything- //slapped
Also, apologies to TeamSuperSonic that my friend responded to your message X'D

I love this! I love how your mountains have just enough detail to not be considered negative space, but not so much detail that they take all of the attention from the sky. They also give a nice frame or anchor-like feeling to he drawing, and they help balance out the colours, adding some nice lighter colours to tie the piece together. Only... are there supposed to be stars on the mountains? I guess it could be passed as sparkly snow, or a reflection of the lights in the heavens. Awesome job with the stars there, and the way you did it is actually very smart. Maybe I should turn to digital whenever I know my drawing will have a lot of dots in it. I've actually seen some northern lights in person, and videos never really capture them all that well. This drawing reminds me of seeing those (although the last time I saw them they were all green, which is the most common type of the Aurora borealis).
Awesome job!
If I get a muffin, can it be a banana muffin? I love banana muffins. They're yummy, and really fun to make, too!

... I have no idea what this negative space looks like, so.... That did not cross my mind at all, I will admit, given how I'd attempted to do this nebula as close to how that tutorial had done (whilst adding my own touch to it, of course). And yes, my friend, those are actually stars behind the mountains. You're the first to actually take notice of them in this picture! I was actually planning to do a desert scene for this, but after a bit of messing around with GIMP, I find that the snow-like colours of this mountain range here looks neater than a black one.
Aw man! That is so cool! I would love to see the Northern Lights first-hand! And really? Well, am I glad to know that this practice drawing is similar to what you have seen, my friend.
Banana muffin, coming right up!

Whoa whoa whoa! Calm down there, Ashy!~ Here ya go~
Wait what?! You guys get to see the Aurora Aureoles (which is the twin of Aurora Borealis)?! That is so cool! I really want to be able to see such a phenomenon with my own eyes if possible!~ I mean, look at all of dem pretty lights that flashing about!~ It's one of my reasons why I just love to gaze up at the stars whenever possible.
Yeah, I do agree that the red stars stand out very much against the sea of pastel-coloured stars. I won't do it again, I swear on it~ unless I decide to draw a red nebula, of course. And yeah... I really need to work on drawing comets. Thank you for pointing that out as well, my friend~
And I sure will, my friend. This is just the beginning, after all! And `sides, it's nice to be able to draw something completely digital that I'm actually proud of. Thank you so very much for your compliments, Ashy~

..... Goodness dang it, there goes my stash of Jaffa cakes! Welp, off to get some more, I suppose~
I heard that such a magnetic phenomenon occurs only when the planet Earth has reached a certain part of its orbit around the sun. You know, solar waves, the Earth's magnetic pole, those kind of geological stuff? Only seen it in plenty of astral documentaries that I watch from time to time, and a bit in animal-related documentaries too, so....
Well, what is the point of a tutorial when we only attempt to draw it in the way that the tutorial has done it? As someone who loves to find loopholes in rules whenever possible, I couldn't resist but to go nuts with GIMP and truly explore its functions for once, rather than just to scratch its surface.
Hehe, I seeβ OH-MY-GOODNESS-ME-I'M-BEING-SQUEEZED-TO-DEATH-HALP!!

Well, I gotta love the blending around the nebula! (Or aurora borealis, sort of. ) With combinations of teal, pink and purple, it's not too sharp from the night sky, and not too smooth to show there's just a random black line put in the middle of the scenery. xD The line of the comet looks smooth indeed!
The highlights really brings attention, so all I gotta say is that you could add a bit more shadow on the mountains. That way, there's more of the 'depth' to see which areas are popping out and what not.
Anyways, great work on this beautiful scenery, Axe! Fun to play around with the Gimp tools, eh~? ^^

I'm still surprised that the amount of stars in this picture hasn't cluttered the whole picture at all. :'I Still, the little stretch of mountains at the bottom looks terrible. D; For me, that is.

There should have some tutorials of how to do mountains around her, at least. c| But it's a great start for your first attempt, ya know~ Just so you can be comfortable with the highlighting and such.

Oooh, I could apply it to pixel art as well... if blending and other complicated functions aren't involved with the highlighting~ :3

Highly mistaken, lad. I never had a tablet at all. That party was completely done by mouse... with minutes of going nuts with it, of course. And layers as well, don't forget that.
Aside from landscape art, I so love architectural art, in which I can examine the fine little details of buildings and the streets and the balconies and the rooftops and the windows and the- //slapped

As your wish, I'll do a critique c: (don't worry, It wont bite)Β
In fact, everything is good, only you need is 'detail' some of them, like the nebula and the mountain. I see the nebula's 'shadow' (isn't it?) on the mountain, It's one of I like from this pic. Added with the nebula that combined by the earth sky and space, beautiful~ <3
Ah, the stars, what a beautiful scene, seems you made it randomly but looks neat at all, and the comet complete the scene
For me, It's perfect enough, Axerossah!
Next time, make a shooting stars
