By this time every star of the galaxy is surrounded by a thick cloud made of trillions of orbiting space habitats. Most of them are transparent and filled with floating ecosystems. There's so much chlorophyll around each star, the light gets filtered and looks green from a certain distance.

This painting was inspired by the 1992 book "The Millennial Project: Colonizing the Galaxy in Eight Easy Steps"
