I haven't posted fanart before, but well, Hellboy is my favorite character, and it was fun doing something with minimal rendering for a change...The complete jam here [link]
Some days I want to be a serious comic book artist, some days I don't... but I love what a brush and a couple of pens can do...

Since this has a while, I suppose I used mainly china ink with crowquill and a bit of brush, these days I'd use mostly brush. Coloring on Photoshop, no big secret there

How come geeks like you and me always draw HB fightin' some Big Nasty with tentacles?! Not even the Ogdru-Jahad had tentacles in the comix! They were a 7-headed dragon...thing.

Man, I have a serious crush on this guy. xDDD But really, this is wonderful. I saw the movie when it came out 2 years ago and quickly forgot about it, but for some reason I saw it again on TV the other day and it rekindled my interest!
And what's cooler than a big red demon owning a squid? Can't beat that.

Ah I remember this guy. I saw the movie version and loved it, and if our book stores didn't seriously suck I could've gotten my grimy hands on the comic books too. Lovin' the action of the whole thing. I wanna eat the purple octopus though. x)

The comic book is fairly different from the movie... there are some parts that I like better about the Hollywood version, but both rock...

c'mon, I doubt any artist ever got fired because they over-rendered something....it just means your a really dedicated sadomasochist who pours your heart into your art...and that complaint is probably compliment in disguise
