I've read that, back in that time, there was an idea for a crossover between Ferrigno's Hulk and Hammond's Spider-Man, but it was discarded for some reason.

The battle of New York would’ve been way easier if they had Leopardon

Fury sounds like David Hasselhoff....because it's Star Lord's world, and you're just living in it!
Very funny. And nicely drawn.

Natasha shows up, portayed by Marilu Henner, "Sorry Coulson, you're going to played by Darren McGavin from now on."
Coulson: Wait, wasn't he the bad guy in a Captain America movie?
Captain America: Someone actually watched that movie!

Only the Spider-Man costume on the '70's Spider-Man was good (the show sucked, as did the other two shows.) And the costumes for Captain America and Thor were dire.

For all it's flaws the 1998 Nick Fury movie did some things right like portraying Nick Fury (Earth-616, not -1610) as an cigar smoker and von Strucker as Fury's nemesis and not the stepping stone villain von Strucker is in Age of Ultron.

Banner: Stay calm, don't lose control... Stay calm
Thor: Is he praying? He is praying!
*Hulks out*
Thor: HA! An incantation. You're a sorcerer! You've changed into a great troll. Come Troll! To battle! *Both run off after thugs*
My favorite scene from The Incredible Hulk Returns. Mainly because Thor not only rolls with the situation, but seems so damn happy at the Hulk's appearance! Loved that movie as a kid. Lou Ferrigno will always be the Hulk to me.

I watched some of the show a while ago. Forgot how dark that show could get and how good an actor Bill Bixby could be. One of my favorite episodes was a 2 parter called Meteorite I think... Banner comes across a meteorite that emits gamma rays while running around as the Hulk. When he calms down the extra gamma won't let him change back and he's stuck half way through the change. Neither Banner or Hulk, but with enough of Banner's mind to know something's gone wrong. Watching him go from initial confusion, to anger, to sobbing in total despair over the course of about 3 minutes is just gut wrenching . He's back to normal of course by the end, but during the run of the episode Banner is absolutely terrified that what he's always feared has happened. He's lost even the semblance of his old life that transforming back has granted him. Just a kid's show my ass!

Oh I love that one too! Especially the show down between both hulks. The new hulk is trashing the room; throwing furniture and roaring all with the creepiest grin which he's had the entire episode. The Hulk just stands up and watches this thing that's physically even larger than him with this look of what always came off to me like confusion. Like what the hell is going on? The new hulk's just itching for a fight but Hulk just stands there. It takes the evil hulk PHYSICALLY SHOVING HIM to get him to react! And he is easily trounced... It wasn't til years later it struck me: it was almost like a kung fu film. Hulk: Zen Warrior!

It won't stick. Triple agent, time-travel meddling, evil clone, whatever... I give them six months to get back to status quo.

I am not spoiling anything, but they already back out on this idea very quickly.
Honestly, I also didn't love the idea and still think it was a cheap sale booster. But remembering how the authors kept saying that the stuff is real and that it is going to be some really complex plot only for them to disprove everything in the second issue makes me kind of disappointed.

Indeed... they could have kept it going at least the first story arc... oh, well.

Eh. The 1990 Cap movie was better despite its low budget and the italian Red Skull.
