Girls and boys, we survived (barely, she's getting better at her hits) SDCC, and this is a badass superheroine week at The Line it is Drawn!They suggested Taarna, and everyone loves Taarna, right? If not, watch her segment of the Heavy Metal movie... you will.
And, yes, I didn't feel particularly creative this week, this is an obvious Kill Bill homage. Anyway.

I finally saw this movie a few years ago, and the only part I enjoyed more than Taarna was the one with Hannover Fist and Captain Stern.

It's times like this that I really miss Taarna. She was such a great character from Heavy Metal who said nothing but what she did made a big impact on the story she was in. Hope one day we get to see her again.

Thanks! Check the Heavy Metal Movie... it's not the best animation out there, but it's daring and entertaining, and has a killer soundtrack. Tarnaa's segment is pretty much flawless.

It's an animated anthology film, mostly adaptations of stories that had appeared on Heavy Metal magazine... the Taarna segment was the one created solely for the movie (although kind of based on Moebius' Arzach). It's kind of uneven, but entertaining. The soundtrack is mostly 80's Metal. Black Sabbath, Cheap Trick, Sammy Hagar...
