Description: (click on the picture for clearer detail!)

This is a drawing of the protagonist cowboy John Marston from the videogame Red Dead Redemption, which happens to be amongst my list of all time favourite videogames. The drawing is based on his default outfit, and is set in the wilderness of the american frontier. This drawing is based on official promotional screenshots released for the game.

Detail:

This picture was originally going to show John Marston hunting some rabbits in the wilderness, however I eventually scrapped that concept in favour of a drawing which had more sketch like qualities. Like all of my hand drawn art, this was scanned and then uploaded, click the picture for a more detailed view.

Materials and Equipment:

Black Pen, Pencil, Standard A4 Plain Paper.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it!

I'm thinking of drawing another Red Dead Redemption piece soon, this time as a digital drawing in full colour!

Thank you! glad you like it!

I would have loved to have applied colour to this drawing digitally, but I haven't got a clue where the physical copy of the drawing has gone now. It was drawn last year you see, so all I have now is a copy of the scan still on my computer.

That is so sad I hate it when that happens. Could you perhaps print it out and then color it that way? Digitally coloring it works just as well too.

I could upload the version on my computer onto my art program (Sketch Bookpro 2010) and completely go over all of the outlines on a layer, remove the old image and then add colour, that might work, but it'd take a while. Best option though I reckon!

Unfortunately my printer is on the fritz at the moment, so I wouldn't be able to do that...unless I banged the file onto a U.S.B stick...that'd work!

Wait, but why would you need your printer for that? I thought you had lost the original drawing so the picture was already on the computer.

Sorry that was my fault, I should have been more specific, my bottom sentence was in referal to your idea of printing it out from off of my computer!
