Two of the many innocent ovines killed in the name of keeping The One Who Waits sealed away. Unlike the others, these twins held a special place in the Promised Liberator's heart.

Before the Prophecy was revealed, the Twin Lambs were like elder siblings to the Liberator, having found the latter wandering through the Darkwood, lost and alone. They took the younger lamb in without a second thought, blissfully unaware of the destiny that awaited the little one, as well as their own fates by the end of a blade.

The Twin Lambs taught the future Liberator many things. How to read, how to forage, how to defend oneself from the dangers of the land. They taught the Liberator the ways of the Old Faith, though warned the little one of the dangers of bloodshed; too much can become addictive, and sacrifices in the name of the Bishops was not always worth a life.

The Liberator felt like they'd been truly blessed. A life of peace, warmth, and family was the only life they ever wanted...

...Only for the Prophecy to rear its head, and take everything away.

The Sister was lost first, having been caught while trying to hunt for food. Her final act of defiance being silence; she would never tell where her family had hidden.

The Brother was next; distraught at his sister's fate, he knew that it would only be a matter of time before he would soon join her. But his love for his remaining sibling held strong; he would protect them, one way or another.

The Brother and the Liberator ran, ran like they'd never before. From the Darkwood to Anura, through the Spore Grotto, even the Silk Cradle, the two lambs continued to run.

A single misstep into a web was the end for the elder lamb. The Liberator kept running, obeying their brother's calls to never stop and never look back, no matter what was heard.

Just like his sister before him, the Brother refused to speak in his final moments. If this 'prophecy' the Bishops so clearly feared were to come true, then he welcomed it.

Even when the Liberator's destiny began to unfold, and the battle against the Old Faith forged on, the Twins never left the former's mind. More than anything, the Liberator longed to see them again. Alive and well, continuing the life the Bishops had cruelly cut short.

The Liberator would bring them back. And nothing, not even the sealed god's wrath, would deter them in the end.
