Recently I heard that because Red5 was one of those "Silver Sponsors" at Free Comic Book Day 2008, it meant that anyone who wanted to grab this one shot freebie had to get their comic retailer to order copies. Seriously, it sucks that the little guys aren't given special treatment like Marvel or DC. But oh well.

The Diamond pre-order code is FEB080036.

It won't be just our 8 page one-shot you're getting in the book, but another 16 pages of Atomic Robo! So for the love of gravy, please grab a copy on May 3rd!

And because on that day is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY, I feel the need to emphasize on it's FREE-ness. Yes. IT'S FREEEEE! Grab a bunch of copies and give some to your friends! Spread the word! Share the love!

Ahem.

Btw, if anyone hits CTRL+F for "RED 5", you'll find that we're right under the comic Imaginary Friends are putting out - [link]

Lovin this page. I dig how you always keep your earthy palette, even when ya got a big ole sunset there.

I mean sure retailers have to pay like 15 cents for each FCBD issue, but c'mon! Kinda takes away from what FCBD's really supposed to be all about.

I wonder what happened with all the FCBD books from the previous years. Were some ever hosted online?

With the way readers and retailers complain about the stranglehold the big 2 have, you'd think that smaller publishers wouldn't have to jump through hoops for FCBD. Makes no sense.

At 15 cents a pop, you'd think more retailers would take a chance on the indies for FCBD, even if it was only something as small as 25-50 copies of each book. Hell, they could probably raffle something out of their back issue bins that they can't get rid of to cover the cost.
