Thanks, but it wasn't so bad because the reference was a hip-hop dancer. The hard part was having to figure out how to remove some of the extra layers that the person was wearing and make sure Ayako's arms and legs were not bent in an odd way.


maybe she does, but I would think artist/groups like EXO, HyunA (girl in the Psy video), 4Minute, and G-Dragon.

Thank you! the copic markers add a slightly different texture to it when coloring it in and also use a slight touch of the soft eraser at about only 10% strength for the highlights. ^^

Wait, this is traditional? Holy cow, it looks so good! I seriously believed this was a digital piece because of how smooth and solid the coloring is!!! 8D That is incredible!!!

But anyway, besides that, I've always liked her pink hair, and I love her baggy pants and tank top.

Oh yeah, and I believe I spy the no-button belly once again!

ah, I should have clarified that better. sorry about that this is completely digital and done with the digital copic tool. I wish my outlining with traditional tools was as good, but I can dream right?

pink hair is supposedly a mary-sue thing but i don't care, i mean i originally created her  when I was about 10 so it can't be influenced by anything like anime. Glad you like the outfit choice. still want to do one of her as a hip hop dancer like in the music videos.

Ah, I never cared about mary-sue tendencies. We don't HAVE to have characters with vitals flaws just to avoid being perfect, ESPECIALLY when those flaws would make us dissatisfied with our own creation. I'm glad you chose the pink hair, because honestly, would you be happy if she didn't have it?

No indeed! Although when I made that picture of Ayako and Gavin a while back, I actually snuck a button onto Ayako's tummy!
