Just a quick piece. I drew this at work with the evil pen and loved it so much I decided to finish it. I'm glad I did too, cause I really like the way it turned out. Done exclusively with my tablet over the course of a few hours' collective work.Obviously, this is a reference piece to Super Mario Strikers Charged (Wii) which just came out the other day. I LOVE the style of the characters, so I decided to once again step out of the comfort zone and try this out. It was tough to get the look right, but I think I managed okay.

Well, I drew the sketch on a regular piece of paper with a pen, then I colored over it in photoshop using various different brush sizes.

Whoa. Did you color that with a computer? If so, how did you create the style? (Reason being is I'd love to do something like that myself).

I colored the whole thing with my WACOM tablet, switching between the size 5, 9, and 13 round brush. It's basically just drawing haphazardly or as my design teacher would have called it 'quick-study gesture'.
They make you pay for those big words.

Ayame looks awesome in that style, as she does in all styles but mine I'm sure... believe me I've tried... I've wanted to make you some fanart for like a couple of years now but it always turns out like crap and though it might be the thought that counts I myself wouldn't like to get a fistful of crap as a gift... Hopefully I'll succeed in making something gift-worthy sometime soon.
And on another topic, have you played SMS Charged? If so, how is it?

I love it. It's just one step up from the old game for the cube which was good too, but just not quite enough for me to purchase it.

Perhaps I should try buying Chargers from our local EB Games store and try it out... if I don't like it I'm free to return it within a week after all... I wonder how that works really... I mean afterwards they would have to sell it as a used game... Bah, it's not my problem...
