You know those types of teachers you hate that gives out far too much homework and pop quizzes every day? Yup, Valentin is one of those sadistic professors.

He is very strict when it comes to teaching others AND learning new things on his own. The guy’s so stern that everyone back in his student years called him Ice Demon for his strictness in tutoring others—not to mention his special spell was the element of Ice. But even if he is viewed like that, this silver haired Russian boy only loves sharing the wonderful world of magic to everyone around him. He even had the dream of making everyone understand and learn to love magic as much as he does. Unfortunately, that dream is far from him—But Valentin becoming a teacher of Coccinum Acadimae was his first step in achieving his lifelong dream; which was why the freshly graduated child applied to become a teacher of the school, confident of his knowledge and magic in convincing the headmaster to employ him.

Albeit being a ‘cool’ and a devil professor inside of the classroom, Valentin is quite different when not teaching. His voice would still remain authoritative and cocky, but the young man means no harm. Under that mature and hard exterior lies a childish side of him where he would be as curious as a toddler and as indecisive as a kid who can’t pick between a chocolate and a lollipop. He would always, ALWAYS want things to go his way and would sometimes go in a silent sulk when denied of his wishes. Valentin also likes being spoiled; like how a mother tends to her child seeing as he knows nothing in taking care of himself and depends mostly in magic.

Yes he is a workaholic and won’t stop researching and learning new things regarding spells and potions at any given time but he also knows when he’s at his limit. So the Ice demon can sometimes be found in warm places, taking a catnap and relaxing.

History :
The Korolev is considered one of the most influential families in the modern day. Different companies have affiliated themselves with the Korolev industry in order to increase their income and succeed more in the world. The family is also known for their reputation to sire powerful mages which earns respect from both magical and non-magical beings alike; which brings us to Valentin Korolev, the only son of the head of the family.

Valentin didn’t have many memories of his parents, especially his mother. Was the woman even still alive? The boy had no idea; all he knew was that his wet nurse was always with him and spoiling the little boy to his heart’s desire. Albeit the nanny being a non, the family trusted her—seeing as she was also the father’s wet nurse—and continued to have their heir be taken care of by the woman. It was because of this lady that the young boy experienced love and gentleness that was absent because of the lack of presence of his parents.

He learned to love and appreciate magic as much as his caretaker and how great mages were compared to nons like her. And because of that, he would always surprise the woman with little tricks of his own, even if they were only simple sleight of the hands. It was when he was turning 17 that his magical abilities awakened. Excited to dazzle his nanny with neat legit magic tricks, the young man quickly packed his things to set off for a mage school. What was surprising for both Valentin and his nanny though was when his father visited him before sending the young man off to the Magical Academy called, Coccinum Acadimae. It was there that he learned multiple things regarding the history of mages, spells and potions alike. And being as a hardworking and gifted student that he was, Valentin became the top of his generation without any problems and graduated as the Valedictorian.

Yet his thirst for magic wasn't satiated in his 3 years in the Academy, so he chose to stay in the school and continue to learn more.
