Yah, I honestly got the "OH GOD KID STOP I AM TRYING TO QUIT PLEASE NO" vibe from this comic, especially that 2nd panel. He just seems like an alcoholic who has had a bottle of 12-yr old single malt scotch being shoved right under his nose.
