The other day I drew the queen of France, relaxing in The Petit Trianon. Marie-Antoinette would ditch, as often as she could, her obligations and escape to the Trianon with her favourites. She dreaded Versailles and the rigid protocole...she just wanted to breath, relax...being able to be herself...
And here I portrayed her, laying on the grass, enjoying a peaceful moment in 1788...still unaware of the upcoming revolution that would change everybody´s lives.
