Description
(born March 25, 1767, La Bastide-Fortunière, France—died October 13, 1815, Pizzo, Calabria)
Born as the son of an innkeeper, nobody but the Fates would imagine that Murat would one day go on to become one of the most dashing cavalry commanders and a king!
Murat was a great soldier, very brave but at the same time an exeptionally vain man. But Napoleon liked him and he became one of Napoleon’s most celebrated marshals.
In 1815 he tried to assist Bonaparte during the 100 Days' Campaign by fomenting a revolt in northern Italy, but acted too soon and the attempt failed.
The defeat of Waterloo forced him to try to regain his own kingdom, but he was arrested and shot.
Well, this is my take of Murat, done with pen and pencils.
It took a while, especially while searching for a good reference for his uniform.
He plays a role in my book, and I hope everybody will like it!
2019
Another beautiful piccie that I revived, bringing it onto the 2019's with my newest skills.
Now, exquisitely polished via MediBang, Murat is a true ikemen from Napoleon's forces.
Hey! He's the sassiest of Naps' men and wasn't sorry for that and with colours, he'll look even more beautiful.
