Years ago I wrote a Digimon fanfic.
It took almost an entire year before I was able to write the final chapter. I liked the series very much but I hated the final episodes from each season so much that I could either complain until the end of the world or I could write my own interpretation. I went with the latter and decided to write a crossover from the current seasons and just let it go.

This is an alternative Mega form of Angemon, Tempus Angemon. I invented this form for my fanfic, years before Slash Angemon and Clavis Angemon´s creation by Hongo and the Toei guys...

In my story, right after Angemon´s tragic sacrifice - to defeat Devimon- and returning to be a digiegg...something else happened.
While Patamon was ressurrected inside the egg, Angemon´s soul - for a strange reason- was unable to return to Patamon´s body. For his surprise, the soul of another Angemon took his place! And neither Patamon nor Tk ever suspected that they would share the upcoming battles with the new Angemon.

The original Angemon was somehow sent to a paralel digiworld , just in time to witness a great battle against Piedmon! A group of digimons were fighting against the evil clown and his minions, lead by a little girl called Nova, to free their digiworld from him.
And Angemon arrived at the moment that Piedmon was about to kill the digidestined, by throwing her through a cliff! Angemon - despite being shaken by sadness of not being able to go back to Tk - flew to save her and as soon as his arms caught the girl...he warpdigivolved into Tempus Angemon!

Piedmon became history, so did his allies. Peace in that digiworld was restored.
And the gate to the human world, sealed until that moment, was finally opened!

I will tell that Tempus Angemon took the girl back to her human world, but his mind was still full of Tk. And when Nova asked him if he was her destined digimon camrade, Tempus Angemon hastily told her:
"I already have a partner. His name is Tk and I´m going back to his side"

Nova , despite being 13 at that time, felt extremly sad because of such rejection.
Tears poured through her face and pointing her digivice at him she said:

"So please, go back to your world and you shall never show your face again"

The digivice ´s power formed a gate of Destiny (just like Magna Angemon´s) and before Tempus Angemon got a chance to say something else, he was swalloed by the Gate and sent to the Digiworld! Once he was teleported to the digital world, he lost his Mega form and reverted to Angemon. And he ´d be trapped in that unfamiliar digiworld for 3 years before finally being able to break the seal between the worlds.

In another scene from my fic he would explain why he´s so different from the other Angemons, unable to revert back to Patamon and having a different Mega form. When he was ressurrected, somehow his data ´d been changed, and he´d become a sort of half human, half digital angel. His Mega form...he cannot be Tempus Angemon for a long time, once he used his power, he goes back to his champion form. And he cannot revert to a digiegg anymore...so if he´s seriously wounded...while carrying a great power, he also became mortal.

Eventually he would meet Nova, apologise to her and convince her of becoming partners for the time being. He would help her find her lost brother and she would help him track his original digiworld and so he can see Tk once more...
