It´s been ages since the last time I posted a Digimon fanart in Da! That series holds a special heart in my heart, I remember the first time I watched Digimon was the episode in which Patamon digivolved into Angemon the first time..and God! I never cried so much about a fictional character´s sacrifice since reading the original Little Mermaid

I loved the anime so much, (and because I was dying to see Angemon appear in more episodes) that I followed it through the next seasons. (I loved season 1, hated season 2´s ending, enjoyed Tamers , did not like the 4ths season very much and loved Digimon Savers. ..I did not watch season 6 and I heard that there´s an evil Angemon in one of the newest seasons...just decided not to watch one to avoid having my heart broken)

Because I liked the series so much, in 2003 I wrote a fanfic (a 54 chapters story, no more, no less and took at least a year to be completed)...yep, I was SUCH FANGIRL

The fanfic was , in a short summary, a crossover of the first 4 seasons . I decided that when Angemon defeated Devimon the very first time and sacrified himself, as everybody rememebrs, there was a new digiegg. Everybody assumed that Angemon would be reborn soon and meet Tk again.

Well, in my story, somehow, Angemon´s soul ended showing up in another digiworld, from a parallel universe and inside Tk´s digiegg a new Angemon took his place. Neither Tk, nor his friends ever noticed this in the whole series. The first Angemon did not like his fate and wanted nothing else to go back to his digiworld and reunite with his little human.

Instead, Angemon ends up smeeting a girl called Nova and he´s been told by the gods that she would be his new camrade, to release their Digiworld from evil´s hands.
Angemon refuses vehemently, breaking the girl´s heart. The digiworld is saved, anyways, and Nova is sent back to her world. The gates between the worlds are sealed and Angemon remains trapped in the current digiworld, unable to either go back to Tk´s side or contacting Nova (he regretted his harsh words and wanted to apologise)

3 years passed , the gates are unsealed again because of a new menace. And Angemon is, finally, able to meet the girl.
Nova is 16 and should be enjoying her teen days. Instead, she´s a very sober person and she´s obssessed to find her missing older brother. She cares for nothing else except finding her sibling and her only clue lies somewhere in the digiworld.

Well, the scene I just drawn represents the moment Angemon shows up to Nova, gives her a heartful hug and he´s saying:

"I swear for my life that I will help you find your brother. Allow me to become your partner and let´s go to the end of every single world and find him. You don´t have to struggle by yourself...you are not alone anymore"

Nova cannot help but cry. A cry of sadness, a cry of relief.

"Thank you" she whispers.

And for a long, long time, they explore different worlds, from different universes, searching for the missing sibling....

This is a very special artwork, my present for everybody. Even if the current reality is harsh, even if you feel surrounded by darkness...you are not alone. There´s light, there´s hope...this is my present from my heart
