Floating through the air
Whisked away over the water
The wind caressing its surface, whispering,
"I will carry you where you want to go."
Whipped around, flipping over and over
The petals tumbling through the wind
Following the waves as they crash and bellow,
"I am no match for you anymore."
Petals elated
Dancing
Twirling musically through the air
Gliding over the water
Sighing as the wind touches their every curve
So ready to be taken...
Carried away to where they belong
The wind increases and pushes them forward
Their delicate perfume lingering behind
Trailing them in an aromatic line
A fragrance intended to captivate
What lies beyond those waves.
Petals overcome
Overwhelmed
With the love that carrries them across the sea
So lightly, as though balanced on an angel's wings
So strong, so determined
Petals finally
There
Washed up along the shore
The grains of sand coat their surface
Enveloped like a longed-for hug
A form can be seen
Human
All along, it had been waiting...
And there are those angel wings...
