New art, new style~
Details and patterns are really fun to draw 
Drawn with black pigment liners and watercolor!
This is an illustration of my OC, Ayumi. She's an angel that can't fly, because her wings are too small. She wishes for the sky, the stars and love. Eventually someone will come along with the key to unlock her wishes~

With exception to the anime-style angel and the hearts here and there this is actually very reminiscent of some of the works my wife has made. Almost immediately, I was curious about the scarf and the bandage over her eye. Overall, i liked the visual balance of your work, it's seemingly random structure is still weighted well. I also noticed the lack of color on her clothing/wings and I'm assuming this is symbolic of purity etc. I am curious though as to why you made the choice to have the color in her hair, not to say it doesn't look good, but I'm curious about your reasoning behind it.

No, the reason I asked was pertaining to the theme of purity. If her hair is a darker shade then that makes sense especially is she has red/pinkish hair. Overall, I thought you did a good job. Keep it up!

The lack of color in her dress and wings indeed symbolize her purity.
The reason I left the color in her hair is because I designed this character with dark colored hair. Do you think it would have looked better if I made her hair a slight shade darker than the current color?

Pros: Interesting design and theme. Good Variation of weight to you light which is also creating some interesting flow. The colored texture in the background is not only adding a splash of color but it is creating some interesting contrast.
Cons: I think that you could have been more selective in where that color texture could not have and could have gone. For instance I am not sure that it is working in her hair. I think that you might like to read an article I wrote about contrast which is more complex than people believe. [link]

The blends of pinks, reds and yellows works really well here! 
Her wings are cute; it's a shame she can't fly with them. Does the bandage over her eye have any connection to why her they're too small?

The bandage on her eye kind of represent how she keeps an eye closed from evil to protect her innocence. It also hints a sign of injury, which is what lead her wings to stay small. I'm happy you were interested enough in the artwork and character to ask
