Also, what about a black (slightly off?) frame that more just overlays the edges but keeps the texture? Then add a line of a lighter color in the middle of the frame? Just thoughts: it looks nice, but so abrupt against the green.

I had that problem, too. You might could up it by an inch in height, though: I hate to lose all that detail.
