The title of this picture was suggested by Syn when I showed it to her. Lots of spoilers here, but oh well... tis the season.Happy Holidays from Sygnus.org to all of our friends old and new! We wish you the best of this season, no matter what you celebrate!
Here's a current-day picture of how holidays are celebrated in BSBaron -- the Ya family's first Christmas in their new house. After Tai and Zazo were married, they worked on restoring an old farm house on the outskirts of the main city and have done a great job at getting it together before winter came.
Here we have, from left right: Zazo, Tai, Zeb... BS Cecil in the background... and Tai's Dragon companion Blue in the front. Hence the name "Blue Christmas."
There's a lot of meaningful things in this picture... as Tai and Zento are both big on celebrating holidays and holding traditions. The tree is decorated with blue magic glowing orbs (they didn't have electric lights back then?) which were hand crafted from Zento's magic and fondly called "Zento Globes". It is also decorated with strung-up popcorn... which is one of Tai's favorite foods... so they have to keep it away from him while they're trying to make the decoration.
Oh... and note the aptly hung mistletoe... ^_~
The main gist of this picture is that Tai is a major health nut. And this often extends to his Dragon, Blue. Tai fusses over what Blue eats and often scolds him for downing sweets and snacks... which Blue snatches any chance he can get.
Zeb knows this. He also thinks it's highly amusing to feed Blue gingerbread cookies in the likeness of his brother... unaware that BSCecil is watching from behind. Heh.
Where all of this came from... I have no idea. I was just going to draw a nice, peaceful holiday picture. But then Tai and Zeb have to get into it... like always. This is pretty typical for both of them -- shoving each other around and shouting insults. XD

omg!!!! this is awesome!!!! I love the cecil cookie! and that dragon so cool! I love the way you textured his skin.... I'm attempting to make a brush tool that will work for mine.... heheeh anyways.... that is awesome! and again.... seeing sweet little zazo in the picture next to tai looking MORE innocent than zeb is actually kind of desturbing... o_O

Even Blue? And yeah, Baronian government sounds far more interesting than Congress, the Electoral College, the Election 2000, and filibustering...but the final wasn't that hard, so it's all good!

So if Blue is Tai's dragon, does that mean Tai is also training in the Dragoon Corps, or does Blue just like to hang around Tai?

Tai's not exactly a Dragoon... but he has sworn his loyalty to BSCecil as what they call a Mage Knight. He just happens to also ride a Dragon -- though Blue was the one that picked Tai as a Rider rather than the other way around.
When it comes to the Dragon riding aspect, the two of them do follow a lot of the training specifics of the Dragoons, simply because that's the basis of the Dragon-Riding troops in Baron. I don't think Tai nor Blue really consider themselves a part of the Dragoons, though. They're sorta on the outside of that establishment, doing their own thing. Just like Tai tends to always do?

Like I said, I was trying for something happy and serene. But with this group, it just doesn't happen. I was going to put poor Zento in here somewhere, but BSC ended up taking his place due to the content of the picture.
Nope. Zeb doesn't change much... still causing trouble as always and annoying Tai... who TRIES to keep him in line the best he can.
As for tofu... not sure. Tai might? I know he loves popcorn and chicken noodle soup though! XD

The white haired girl is the person form of Zazo, the white wolf Arweinydd you see in Wayrift. Of course, this is way on in the future when she gets a little nicer, too... XD

Sorry to confuse you! I try to explain that the stuff we're drawing in Wayrift now was scripted six years ago. The picture above is from current day chats and story arcs -- as is a LOT of my artwork on DA. So basically, you're getting a look into the future of where these characters will be one day.
