More vocatickles! God I fuggin love vocaloid, and amongst my all time favorites, the top is definitely Gumi, with Rin being a very close second. As such I figured I'd do something a little special for her. This one's also a little bit old, but I'm releasing it now due to content droughts. Spread eagle is also one of my favorite positions, so it was fun to do it. It was also fun trying to shade covers/bedsheets, and while I don't think I quite nailed it, it's a learning experience, eh?

Mhm! If we hold ourselves strictly to canon, basically every anime character becomes off limits, despite whether or not they actually appear to be of age. It's the same reason drawing a loli and saying "Oh no she's actually 1000 years old guys!" is a bullshit excuse.
If the characters actually look to be of age (as Gumi and many other anime characters do) I don't really think we need to hold ourselves to an arbitrary number the writer slapped on there just to make them more relatable to their highschool-aged target demographic.

Did you do something different with the coloring on this one? Or maybe the lineart? It looks really different from your normal style. I like it. Very vivid.
Discarded shoes nearby is always a great touch. That's something I always mean to do but I just suck at drawing shoes so I always give up...

I've been playing around with the more vivid, kinda bold cel-ish style a lot more recently with slightly thicker lines and I really like it, yeah. It also comes from adding a slight outline to the shading just a tiny bit darker than the shade's original hue. ^^
Yep! I love it, it's like that extra little bit of salt in the wound. I've not done it all that much though for pretty much the same reason, but I've gotten good enough to confidently do it now I think

I may try to steal that shade outlining trick, I like it a lot and it's exactly the kind of thing I'm going for. I've done that kind of thing with shiny surfaces a few times but it works fine for normal shades which never occurred to me.Β
Discarded shoes can be threatened to be used for other stuff too, mainly cramming in her mouth to shut her up. Kind of hard to do with boots though...

The anatomy is really good, Gun's expression is adorable, the linework is stylish as heck and the coloring on the body along with the shading is pretty amazing, really good looking!
The shading on the bed is also pretty neat and I love that you left Gumi's boots close by, it's a nice detail!
