Piece of text from the Papyrus of Ani."In offering to thy god guard against the things which are abominations to him. Consider which thine eye his dispensations. Devote thyself to the adoration of his name. He giveth souls, or will, or strength to millions of forms. He magnifieth him that magnifieth him. The god of this earth is Shu, the chief of the horizon. His similitudes are upon the earth, and to these incense and offerings are given daily."

Using words and sentences I guess^^
Actually it is only the first part of the text,the board was not large enough to write the whole text...
You have to read it from left to right.
Little bird, hand, water, pottery, another little bird... very clear, isn't it?

It's clear, but how do those symbols make up words is what I mean.

Like the letters and the symbols of an alphabet, I guess.
I know nearly nothing about hieroglyphs reading, I only draw it because it's nice and funny to do... and my hieroglyph roommate gives me lots of model texts!

It's the same board, the caretaker erase it everyday and I have to draw new pictures...

I take pictures of everything I draw on the board, but I don't post all of them on the net.
