Description
Enter the Kamalani Region Stories, or KRS for short. This is the name of part three, which takes place two years after the events of part two, and, for once, the Azelf won't be the main character. Shocking, I know.Anyway, the writing process is actually pretty simple. I just have to write ten parts of one long chapter that's an entire character arc of its own, including the finale, by using Google docs for the nine chapters, then archive them here on DeviantArt for everyone to read before the finale of the arc. Also, part three will have multiple protagonists, hence the multiple character arcs. Also, there will be updates to the characters between chapters.
But before that, I got several bios for every character that appears in this super long chapter, all in order of introduction.
Skipper Atteberry the Empoleon bio

Species: stars as a Prinplup and later on, he evolves into an Empoleon.

October 27th, Onyx City, 1PM
While Onyx City was usually very lively every day, and a lot more during the holidays like Halloween, the city felt less lively on that day because of one sole reason. The streets were filled with missing posters everywhere, from the electric poles to the various shops and restaurants and even the now finished shopping mall that would have its grand opening. No matter where one would go, they would be greeted by a missing poster and that was the case with Skipper and co.
"Why are there so many missing posters around the city?" Skipper asked with a bit of shock in his face as a moment of silence followed. "Something is definitely not right... Must be one of those nightmares the literal legendary Pokémon of nightmares has set upon us. I'm sure of it!"
"I don't think that's the case, mate. Because if it was, the sky would be red, the city would be a literal ghost town and you would be shaking in the real world." Lucius replied, debunking the Empoleon's theory that way.
"Hell, the posters say they were kidnapped. But if that's the case, then where do you think they would take them?" Natalie asked everyone.
"I don't know... All I know is we have to find them quickly becore we move on... We can't turn a blind eye on that..." Trevor replied to the Piplup softly, looking shaken from the whole situation.
"Shit...! So, we're at a dead end, is that it?" The Misdreavus seemed a bit out of it, trying to keep his cool.
"There's gotta be something to help us! Anything!" Just as Felisha finished her sentence out of annoyance, Skipper's Poképager started to ring, which sounded like a perfect timing for them, then he saw that Fraser was the one calling him. "Hello?" The Empoleon asked as he picked up his Poképager.
"Skipper, is that you?" The Tyrantrum asked him.
"Fraser? Why did you call? We're in a tight situation right now and trying to find the missing civilians!" Skipper replied as he started to look a bit desperate.
"Regarding that, I might've found where they were taken! I'm at the Tempting Path right now and on the way to the deepest part of it!" The T-Rex explained to the penguin as he was beating on a wild Mamoswine and a Simipour.
"Hang tight! We'll be on our way!" Skipper then hung up after his reply.
"Was that Fraser just now?" The Talonflame asked Skipper out of worry.
"Yes. He said he's at the Tempting Path right now. I think he might lead us to the missing civilians." Skipper replied, now knowing where they have to go next.
"Then we can't afford to waste a single second! He will definitely need our help!" Cynthia remarked as she ran to get to the Tempting Path.
"Hey! Wait for us, Cynthia!" Ashley ran after the Aurorus.
"Don't just run off, you two! Wait!" Lucius followed after them as well and so did everyone else, making their way to the Tempting Path.
Tempting Path, 1:15PM
The group had arrived at the entrance to the Tempting Path where Fraser had gone into. With no time to waste, they entered the dungeon and they faced several wild Pokémon on the way to the deepest part of the dungeon.
Once they made it, there was a cave at the end of it and they got in. While it did look like there were just stalactites and stalagmites, there were also drawings of three legendary Pokémon and a dark figure on them. But before that, they found the Tyrantrum trying to unlock a cage that had the trapped civilians in it. "Fraser! Thank Arceus you're still alive!" Natalie ran towards the T-Rex out of relief as he finally unlocked the cage and got the civilians out of it.
"Thank Arceus we're safe!" "I thought we were done!" "They said Oedipus would eat us for lunch if we didn't comply!" The civilians were all relieved to have been saved from the group, but that wasn't over yet.
"Oedipus?" Skipper was confused from that statement from the third citizen. "Don't you mean Oedipus Rex?"
"Both Oedipus of Greek mythology and Oedipus Rex are the same character, actually. He unwittingly killed his own father and married his mother but when he realised what he has done, Oedipus gouged out his eyes and exiled himself, never to be seen again." Fraser explained the myth of Oedipus to the Empoleon.
"Damn... I forgot how brutal Greek mythology can be at times..." Felisha grimaced after hearing the myth and so did everyone else. "Also, what's the deal with these drawings on the walls?"
"There's a tablet that gives us a bit of a backstory on those. See for yourselves." The T-Rex replied, pointing to to the table in front of one of the drawings. Skipper then went to it and started reading it out loud and the text was as follows:
1000 years ago, an evil wizard had the plans to conquer the kingdom of the king of the Kamalani region and rule over it with an iron fist. He created a potion to drug the king, but when they found out about his plan, he was sent in exile and the wizard had spent years of learning dark magic to bring the kingdom to ruins. One day, he learned about the powers of Ares the Eternatus and the eight Gems of Order. With them, he would bring upon the darkest day, causing chaos and destruction in the region, until the legendary Pokémon of the sword and shield had slain the evil wizard and calmed the Eternatus down. Unfortunately, on his dying breath, the evil wizard cast a spell on Ares to possess him and the Zacian and the Zamazenta were forced to seal the Eternatus away for all eternity. As for the eight Gems of Order, those are hidden in eight dungeons, guarded by powerful guardians called the Totem Pokémon. If one was to collect them and summon the Eternatus, they needed a pure heart. Only then will the Eternatus be freed from his curse.
"... Wow. Sounds like some kind of plot for a game of Pokémon Mystery Dungeons and Dragons." Skipper said to himself, looking at the drawings in disbelief.
"Guys... Why do I get the feeling we are being watched...?" Trevor asked everyone, feeling shaken again, as if he was sensing everyone was in danger.
"Huh?" Everyone in the group was in disbelief as well, while the Empoleon went to check what was going on. As he looked up at the ceiling of the cave, there was a presence that would send chills down everyone's spines. This presence came in the form of a lizard-like monster with the head of an eyeless Salandit, the hands of a Sceptile, the upper body of a Treecko, the lower body of a Charizard and the tail of a Keckleon, standing on all fours on the ceiling and glaring at the penguin, even though it had no eyes whatsoever. It then let out a roar that shook the area and fired a flamethrower at the Empoleon, knocking him back before Cynthia stepped in with an ice beam and with Lucius throwing a shadow ball to strike it and make it retreat inside the cave with the drawings and ending up in front of Skipper and co!
"WE'RE ALL DOOMED!" "ARCEUS SAVE US ALL!" "IT'S GOING TO EAT US ALIVE!" The civilians started to panic just as they saw the monster.
"Everyone stay calm! We will handle this monster!" Cynthia tried to calm them down as she focused on the monster.
"Seriously! What the living shit is that?!" Ashley asked with a look of shock and fear in her eyes.
"I don't know, but whatever it is, it's not natural at all!" Lucius replied, gritting his teeth as he saw how desperate the situation looked.
"Then we have to deal with it either way, and fast. Okay! Let's get this started!" Skipper stepped forward with determination to face the lizard-like monster as everyone took their battle stances, ready to face something they have never faced before. As the monster was in front of him and as things looked desperate, the Empoleon gritted his beak and turned his flippers metallic. "We will figure something out! Fraser, take the civilians to safety!" The Empoleon instructed to the Tyrantrum as he turned his head towards him.
"I'm on it! Don't go dying on me now!" Fraser replied with an understanding nod as he turned towards the exit of the cave. "This way!" He then motioned the civilians to follow him, leaving Skipper and co to deal with the lizard-like monster just as the cavern was evacuated. "Let's go!" Skipper was determined to take down the monster, along with everyone else, as it let out another roar at them, marking the beginning of this battle!
And wasting no time, it lunged towards the Unovan Zorua, successful putting her down to the ground as she screamed in fear, only foe it to get hit by a bubble beam and a hydro cannon to knock it off her. The lizard-like monster then attacked the two penguins with a flamethrower and a fire blast that was too fast for them to avoid, knocking them back as well before it lunged again, but only resulted in it getting hit with a shadow ball and a rock slide before it retreated under the ground.
Everyone kept close to each other to see what this monster would do next now that it dug under the ground, hearing short tremors from under them before a blast burn almost burned everyone, then another, and then a third one before it sprang back up and at the Talonflame, knocking her back a lot before she slowly recovered and went for a brave bird attack, resulting in a small recoil damage after it hits the monster!
But it wasn't done just yet! The monster then spit acid on everyone, including the Empoleon, which did nothing to the Steel-type penguin, rendering its move useless against him, and everyone else got out of the way fast, except for Trevor, who got hit by it and got his defense reduced. Even his bitter malice did a bit of damage but there was no frostbite in return, as if the lizard-like monster was immune to any and all status problems that would normally have a chance to be inflicted on other Pokémon. It then slashed him down, only for the Hisuian Zorua to be brought back to the battle with a Reviver Seed and hitting it with a shadow claw in return!
At this point, the monster took a lot of damage from all the moves it was hit with, as Skipper finished it off with his metal claws, slashing through it and killing the monster in the process! The lizard-like monster then started to twitch before it fell down to the ground, face first, leaving its last breath with blood on its face and chest. Everyone was panting from the battle as it took a toll on them.
"What... What the hell was that...?!" The Dark-type fox asked everyone between breaths as they went to check if it was still alive. As they approached its lifeless body, they noticed a familiar skull logo printed at the back of its head and only one word under it: "Oedipus".
"WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed out of shock just as they recognised the logo.
"No way! There's no way this is happening! It has to be some kind of nightmare!" Natalie was starting to freak out after seeing the skull logo.
"Is that what they meant by Oedipus? Was that... The monster's name all along? That can't be..." Lucius was in disbelief with all the things he saw.
"Oh Arceus... I think I'm gonna throw up..." Cynthia's face started to turn green out of disgust from the monster, trying her best to hold it in.
"But who would create an abomination like this...?! And why...?! The Hisuian Zorua asked everyone, also in disbelief and rather shaken up.
"Whoever created this did that and the mass kidnapping on purpose. Neo Skull won't get away with this!" Skipper clenched his flippers out of anger, shaking in rage. "We're not dealing with just some kind of mafia group anymore... They're mad scientists that need to answer for their crimes!" Just as the Empoleon finished his exclamation out of anger, his Poképager rang again and he picked it up, seeing that Fraser was calling him again.
"Fraser, how's the situation with the civilians?" He asked the Tyrantrum.
"I managed to get them out of the dungeon with no casualties whatsoever. What about the monster that attacked us earlier?" Fraser asked back at the Empoleon.
"We managed to kill it. Turns out, it was Neo Skull behind all this. It's as if they wanted us to come here so that this Oedipus would eat us all alive." Skipper replied, showing concern for everyone.
"So, that was the monster's name, huh? These guys are definitely getting on my nerves just thinking about it." Fraser sighed. "Meet me at Onyx City once you guys get out of here. Got it?"
"Got it. We'll see you there." Skipper nodded as he hung up and everyone left the cavern after taking a few pictures of the drawings that somehow weren't damaged from the entire battle before they left.
Howlite City, 3PM
At the laboratory of the Neo Skull HQ, Rita was looking at the footage of Skipper reading the tablet from earlier out loud, taking notes of all the info of the story of the Kamalani region. "You fools. Little did you know that I installed a microcamera on this prototype to get the story of the Kamalani region in our hands. Now we can finally begin our scavenging for the Gems of Order and the region shall be ours!" The Liepard let out an evil chuckle that turned into a maniacal laughter, which was heard all over the laboratory, sending chills down the members' spine.
