With the upcoming launch of the new John Carter movie, I've been rekindling my love of the Edgar Rice Burroughs books of Mars. In the original stories the ladies were always depicted as being naked apart from their jewellery, but here is my take on a slightly more demure princess from the northern wastes of the red planet.Related content

Maybe the skin and light should be "redder" to follow ERB's story telling of the "red skinned" humans of Barsoom... ERB never said but it was strongly implied that the "Reds of Barsoom" were one and the same as the North American Native Americans...
