Description Modern day, Belle?

So, I was bored.. and I had been thinking of using that mirror in some sort of photo shoot (It belonged to my Great Grandma). I was already sort of dressed partially nice so I simply had to listen to my impulse!

This shot has to do with something like Beauty and the Beast. I used me, because I have no other models. Running back and forth though from the tripod to the tree.. whoo! Not to mention I was in my front yard when school got out, so a bunch of kids and teens were keep looking my way. Boy did that annoy me too! lol and made me nervous hehe.

I hope you like a lil. I added stuff to this one to make it more magical, since it wasn't the best shot. I can't get any brushes off of dA currently. So I used random ones in PS2.

There are more to come from this shoot. Some shots have to do with vanity, more so than the love story. Wah. I so want to get a nice dress and do this shoot again lol and in a better location! Maybe with someone else too.

Gorgeous photo; including yourself Lol, I would have put up a sign that said 'hoto taking in process, don't bother me or you'll be hurting.'

You're very pretty! This is such an interesting idea, I look forward to the rest of the shoot.
Haha, I know how you feel. All of my photos are self taken and it's crazy!

That's really interesting, the sepia look and your pose makes the shot look 19th century. I don't know if I would have added the whimsy. Takes away from the shot, IMHO.

Can't wait to see how the rest of the series goes.

I can post it in full sepia. What would you like to see? More shots in their original colours, or in sepia, or semi sepia? I won't be adding anything to the rest of them, I don' think (like the whimsy stuffs).

I say it depends on the shot. Yea, Bobbert, really helpful. XD

This one with your pose, expression, and the sepia color lends it self to the tintype look. I wouldn't change the sepia tone it has. It gets the but I can't say bout the others.

It might be cool in the spirit of the animated movie to exaggerate the colors in a shot--make it cartoonish. As an experiment mind you, if it doesn't look right, don't share it. :]

You could do a contact sheet in your scraps and let is vote on it.

Very nice. Self-portraits like this are not easy---getting the focus, the mood, the pose and running back and forth.

I'd like this one a lot better without the things you added. It makes it too "busy" for me. A lighter top would help so that your gorgeous hair would show up more.

You're beautiful and you have beautiful hands.

Thanks. They are difficult, lol but are fun.

After posting it, and talking with someone else about it, I thought it was a little too busy too. That's why I moved it into scraps. I have it in just sepia, with out all of the added brushes.

I'm at a lost with what I should do with the other shots. I like them very much in their normal colour, but I wonder if I should make them more old looking by making them sepia. lol I don't usually like to post the same shot with different adjustments. Ah well.

I would post the others in color. Unless your only intent is to upload them as being old-fashioned portraits, I think they'd look better in color or even black and white.

You were certainly on the right track with this one because it's hard to set that mood so perfectly when you only have a few seconds to run and try to pose so well. Practice makes perfect as the saying goes.

I've never once gotten a good photo of myself.

lol thanks

I really want to do the shoot again. I have other shots from this one I'll just post in my gallery. The focus in the others is a little better too.

Thank you and okay, I'll be sure to post some more sometime. I'm not sure though if I should post the originals, or make them more old looking by using sepia. I don't think I'll add anything else to any of the rest though. lol
