More of my Gryphon Armor. Made entirely from leather. Check my other stuff too.This was made mid 2007. The actual commission was for something far less complex and elaborate but I got carried away as I tend to do. Legs, gauntlets, gorget, and other pieces have not been commissioned.
Additionally, I'm very honored and excited to have received a Daily Deviation for this piece. Thanks to everyone for their kind comments on this and the rest of my armor. Now buy something ; )

A few weeks ago, I came upon some fantastic gryphon artwork, however, I can't recall the artist. The gryphons lived in the desert and their human riders wore apparel ideal for conditions in the hot sands.
If anyone can remember the artwork, please send a reply to Bargoth@aol.com.

Excellent work! Everytime I see leather stuff like this on Devart, it makes me want to learn, but it seems a little too expensive and time consuming for me!
And ignore the closed minded fools talking about animal cruelty. I mean:
A: How do they know that this leather wasn't ethically sourced?
B: Do they drink milk? - If so, if we didn't kill the cows for meat and leather when they dried up, we'd have fields of old useless cows, and no milk. And that'd be an even worse waste of resources as they'd strip the field of vegetation as well as contribute to pollution.
C: Chances are there are leather products on their footwear...

probably the animal isn't killed just with the purpose of obtaining the leather.
I sincerely hate fur farms, because recently i've received some chain mail with a clip, showing chinese demons skinning alive an animal (and the animal was still moving even after being skinned.. horrible and inhuman.)

Its all good. There is a lot of confusion due to a number of misleading sources and I think people mean well enough and feel it is important to take a stance for, something.

The fact that that was kind of funny aside, I'm just against animal cruelty and whatnot. Sorry for comment, I guess it was kind of out of place, it really is beautiful armor that you made. I love the design of it!

I thought that would be the reasoning. I'd call myself a realist concerning such matters though, or perhaps all matters hopefully. And as one such as your self with your proclaimed disposition I'm certain you needn't hear my take on the issue as I'm sure you've heard it many a time before and commend you for your ideals.
