Can only agree with the Bugatti fan below: The feeling of flat out "the crazies" as tend to affect cats occasionally is very palpable.
Personally I really enjoy the inclusion of the flare. That and the mix of thousand-yard-stare and unhinged look in his eyes gives the impression he has gone semi-feral, not really consciously understanding the technology he's equipped with, but just through some kind of beastly reason trying to create his own crepuscular haze. It's sunset from where he's standing...
Not sure if terrific or terrifying is the best word.

Yo, hot damn, some people tend to see more beautiful stuff in my artwork than I do, even after looking at it for hours while coloring it In.
Thats an interesting phenomenon - I probably unconsciously added all of these things while just drawing stereotypical Vietnam War era tropes. Probably the only one I was actually intending to add Is the "not understanding the technology" part.
