Description
This was my initial first shot at making vehicles, not as advanced as the tiger 2 tank i made, but could be created in a single evening, the tank took 3. The sdkfz.251 made by Hanomag was widely used to support mechanized infantry across multiple theatres of war in africa, western europe or on the eastern front. Here depicted with the insignia of the 2nd SS Panzer grenadier division , Das Reich which In 1943 was deployed to the Eastern Front from France where it had been outfitted as a Panzergrenadier division. There it participated in the fighting around Kharkov. After that, it was one of three SS divisions which made up the II SS Panzer Corps , which took part in the Battle of Kursk that summer.
