Personality: Caliente is work-oriented, and puts his work and friends before anything else. He is rather used to being told what to do and so lacks any leadership skills. When with a girl he likes he can be very romantic, and often has a rose for the lucky girl. Very few of his choices are done to benefit himself, they’re to benefit either his boss, his friends or a girl. Caliente can speak fluent Spanish, and naturally speaks with a Latino accent.
Backstory: Caliente was born in Maredrid while his parents were on a holiday in Colte, and due to post-labour pain and stress their flight back was delayed several times, much to the annoyance of Caliente’s still-dismissive father, who wanted to leave as soon as he could. A whole week after Pana’s expected leaving date they returned to the Reef. When Cali was 6 years old his mother experienced an accident on the beach where she was stung by a crown-of-thorns starfish, an invasive species to the Reef. She fell terribly ill, and unfortunately passed away from the venom. As such, Caliente was forced to work with his father with their family-run bakery The Chocolate Heart, where he found a knack to making sugar glass candy, earning his cutie mark in the craft. However ever since he turned 16, he noticed that the bakery was getting a huge influx in female customers, and since then he has tried to keep away his “fan club” from the bakery, as well as raise enough money to help the EWF get rid of the crown-of-thorns starfish from the Reef.
