You know, i really love those Towering arches of the aqueducts in ruins that magically carried those old canal boats across the those vast valleys, Rising upward on its way to where it once flowed, all the fresh water meandering down along the way, now in ruins, now all dry, all now just, green and Squared blue sky and as many a folk that will try and slake their thirst,  will these old dried up Aqueduct ruins, Flow with Water, ever again?...

I love this Artwork, simply because, i love Aqueduct construction.

On my way home every day I go to the city, I pass an aqueduct that is 200 years old. It is a single level, in ruins, parts are missing, but the government has preserved it all these years.

Probably the first public works projects after the pyramids were the Roman aqueducts, then the magnificent Spanish water works, then the concept came to México. Lots of construction jobs, everyone benefitted from the result and the politicians bragged.

The Tepozotlan aqueduct is 30 minutes from my home. I'm surrounded by aqueducts!

One of the benefits of the aqueduct was that the water was constantly moving in the outdoors and had the ability to aerate, meanwhile the sun killed a lot of bacteria. Now all the water supply is underground. I'm with you. Bring back the aqueduct!

You're welcome. One of the best things about living in México is there are so many old buildings, churches and yes aqueducts with stone and mortar construction. Some of the churches here are 400 years old. Then some of the 10 year old buildings are already falling apart.
This type of construction has always fascinated me. I wonder if it could last 400 years.

That building off a glass bottle house is quite remarkable. What a very clever idea. thanks for sharing that with me Wayne.

Building a glass bottle house was always one of my dreams.
I saw one when I was a teen and it left an indelible imression on me. Glass bottle houses can be ugly inside unless the bottle is cut in half before being placed in the mortar. 10 cm of mortar around a glass bottle provides excellent insulation, while letting in light.

I was thin king about the light source and insulation, seriously Wayne it's a genius idea.

I imaginje that during the day the indoors would glow from the light from different colored bottles. and at night the house would glow outside. No one could see the interior from outside, even at night. Perhaps one of the most inexpensive and sustainable ways to build a house. Plus, the emptying of the bottles is the fun part. If I were younger...
