2009 paste color on Bockingford paperA camote cart is a converted 55 gallon drum with fire beneath and a drawer from which the "camotero" dispenses baked sweet potatoes (camotes) and bananas. A pipe on top allows the steam to escape and makes a loud whistling sound. The baked bananas and sweet potatoes are smothered in sweet cream and usually eaten as a dessert.

This sounds interesting. like some kind of pressure cooker ? i must admit, Sweet potatoes are my Favourite. I've never tries Baked Bananas. but they must be very tasty, Lovely abstract goes well with the description.

The bananas used are called "platanos machos". They're not sweet like yellow bananas, and have a harder texture, impossible to eat raw, but baked or fried they're very tasty. Thanks for the compliment.
