I can connect instantly with these colours and styles of Easter and Klee ! perfect combo isn't it Wayne ! lovely Welcoming atmosphere this painting has. those church bells rings loud but are people really beckoned these days to such Audible sounds?

Yes, here the church bell is still rung on Sunday mornings, about 15 minutes before mass. One of the most beautiful of the sounds of México. My idea was to represent the sound of the bells with the swirling green forms.
You may find this interesting. There are a lot of sounds in México that probably don't exist elsewhere. For example, there is a position, usually occupied by a young person, called a "cacharpo", whose job is to stand in the front door of a bus and yell out the destination. This seemed very strange to me, as each bus has a headsign with the destination. Someone explained to me that many people in México are illiterate, and can't read the headsign, hence the need to announce where the bus is going.
Another unusual sound is the trash bell. When the trash truck comes to a neighborhood, a boy gets off the truck and walks around the neighborhood ringing a huge (15cm) bell, so everyone comes out with their trash. BTW, it is essential to tip the trash man.
Then there's the bread boy, who rides a 3 wheel bicycle with a basket of bread. He uses a bicycle horn. The knife sharpener and the postman both use whistles. And the tamale seller has a prerecorded announcement that says "ricos, deliciosos, tamales oaxeños". There are so many more sounds I could describe, but you get the idea. The church bells are the best!

You know I don't do a lot of pastel colors, so I'm glad this caught your eye. It was spring and I chose Easter colors when I did the painting. Thank you!
