🗡Backstory🗡
Born into seclusion in a small town in the Free Marches, Vala was a child beloved by all in her home, if not subjected to over protection. Being born blind, others always saw Vala as someone who needed to be protected, to be defended. Soon, however, it became clear that Vala was far from helpless. She was, in fact, a mage, and a gifted one at that. Vala seemed to be a natural in handling her magic, even from a young age, but that was not the most exceptional of her abilities. Vala was born with a gift, one that allowed her sight through the use of the Fade and spirits. But this ability made her subject to hate and fear, at least thats what her town believed would happen, should anyone else ever find out. So the girl was kept on a short leash for her own safety, forbidden from venturing too far into the world. Vala never really seemed to mind this. she had her companions, one specifically in the shape of a dog, Eeka. She was happy to be around people who loved her so much. People who wanted to protect her. And she was, of course, happy to be able to practice her magic in peace. The girl instantly took up specialization in healing magic, though she was capable in other forms. She enjoyed the idea of helping others, and wanted nothing more than to continue her quiet life. But it would not remain quiet. By the age of 14, Vala was an adept in the use of magic, and was revered for the help she had provided to her village for her abilities. But something new had come to her. Future sight. Glimpses of what was to come. She had become a Seer. At first, they were small, trivial things, but soon became nightmarish. She feared that they may be of her village, of the ones she loved, but had never seen some of the places she envisioned. She became worried that she herself would become a threat to her people. So she elected to leave, in secret, taking only a pack and Eeka with her. Vala began to travel the continent, helping those in need and avoiding any templars until she would one day be able to find a place where she belonged.
