The relationship between Maria the mouse and Knuckles the echidna.

* Relationship's description: Knuckles and María are good friends, in fact their relationship is based on respect and caringness. She likes to visit him sometimes out of both concern or kindness, this had led knuckles to become very fond (and shy) of her.

Both don't have much problems regarding their relationship, in fact they are on good terms. Both María and Knuckles are escentially very naive/innocent and often tend to fall for many tricks from both Rouge and Phoebe, though María is less dense then Knuckles and is more willing to accept help from others. María also can't help but tease him too like how Sonic and Rouge tend to do, but unlike them she does it more lightly and less rude. Knuckles can be overbearing whenever Maria gets in danger or if a male gets too close with her, kinda like Damien. When asked if he has a crush on her he would get all flustered and tries to deny it but it's more then obvious, and besides María can be a bit clueless about this but she isn't indifferent to him either.

María often thinks Knuckles is cool for having lived most of his life alone and for protecting Angel island from invaders all by himself. Whenever he is in trouble she would always support and help him in any way. Knuckles regards María as a great person and enjoys having her around, a lot.
