hECK this dragon is adorable!
The lighting is so flattering, the sculpture lays nicely, the colors are absolutely stunning; I really have so much praise for this little fellow!
The only things I think could be more sparkly is the gem on the forehead, and the eyes. Because they're on the head, and the face is such a focal point, a lot of attention will be drawn there. It looks like the gem is acrylic, and was inset (which is totally fun and awesome and I love doing that on my dolls), which means that it is a lot easier to brighten up. What I do if I find a gem isn't as sparkly or vibrant as I want it, is I paint a layer of white underneath where it's going to go (I do this for eyes, gems, any time my top layer of paint is somewhat transparent, etc). With gemstones, I sometimes put a layer of tinfoil underneath them too. I find it really helps things reflect light and look sparklier. The eyes do seem pretty stylized, so while I'd normally say paint the limbal ring dark, and then make the part of the iris closest to the pupil lighter, that advice would only really apply if you wanted to do something more realistic. The huge black pupil is quite fetching.
I wish you luck in your dragon making, and I adore this sparkly one!
