Description
Erzulie Freda, the voodoo Lwa (spirit) of love. This was done for conceptart.org's character of the week and is my first attempt at participating, but ultimately I didn't end up submitting this one to the finals. I learned a lot while doing it though, and am pretty happy with how it turned out, although I will most likely not be painting dreadlocks again for quite some time.

There's more information about this spirit around the net, but in general she likes girly things, mirrors, fans, jewelry, the color pink and sweets, and has a tendency to start crying during rituals.
