Um, excuse me, you should probably ASK before just deciding to use stuff like this. I'd very much prefer if you didn't use it. I'm not trying to be rude, but I just happened to log in to my old account and see this comment...otherwise, I would have never seen it. Honestly, you should make contact with the artist beforehand before just simply taking stuff for your own use. Thanks.

I do apologize, as an assignment for school I had to get two full poster boards worth of collage material in three days. Many people got a variation of the above message.
I am currently in the possess of tagging images in said collage to post it (for people who replied and said it was fine, as long as they could see it here on DA), and blacking out the images that people wished not to be used...as well as noting which permission comments weren't replied to in the artists comments, along with a more formal apology.
I understand what you are saying, and I do wish I could have gone about it more professionally, HOWEVER when you have three days to gather pictures just asking "hey can I use this" can take MONTHS for a reply b/c people DONT use their accounts and at that time I didn't have MONTHS to wait. Since you contacted me (as I asked you to in original message) your art will be blacked out. Thank you for your time and again I am very sorry.

On the one hand, I can see where something like that would be a bit stressful. However, there is a much easier source for images that doesn't involve taking without permission --- stock images. And while, again, finding images in 3 days would be difficult, that doesn't give you the right to just decide to take them. It shouldn't -matter- if it would take longer for the artists to respond, because until they say "yes, you can use my image", you still technically don't have that right.

I'm really sorry if I sound bitchy --- I don't mean to be, and usually I'm a very understanding person...this is just one of those few things that gets me off, since I've had some of my stuff and some of my friends' stuff stolen and it's sort of a personal thing. I have nothing against you as a person at all!!

And it would be really helpful to me...if you could just reply to this comment as an extra reminder to myself to black out your art (i do have it written down and noted, just my notes concerning the posting of that project are a little crazy, and any extra reminder will help greatly) Again thank you and I am trully sorry.
