Description
My third painting for art class, was up until 2:30am to finish it so I could start work on the next one asap.Acrylic on canvas.
*Edit* - Changed the water to oil to balance the black horns and the black lines going across the sand, fixed the sun a little and hopefully the tail stands out more (yes I know the back leg is wrong but I really don't want to go through fixing that...I'm working on anatomy).

Thank you, I wouldn't say I'm astounding with paints (my carpet would agree...) but I have improved a lot over the years 
But I would say it was about 12 or 14 hours give or take (I'm a slow painter). I kept repainting the black lines until I finally decided to wait until I had all the colors done. Some of the colors were also sheer so it took a couple layers of the teal and white before the canvas didn't show. Need to fix the sun though, I rushed that but it was 2am.
But I'm fairly happy with this one. I wanted to do a Mayan/Aztec temple with jungle and mountains behind him but didn't have the time before it was due but I might make an OC out of this one and do that later.

I took a couple breaks, it was over a few days but the longest I went was 6-7 hours, taking breaks for dinner and the like and after I finished a disk of Modern Family (I own all the seasons and it helped relieve tension with no laugh track or music, just people saying funny stuff).
I'm not good at telling Aztec from Mayan, I only did a quick image search for inspiration but got similar or the same pictures for both. So it's kind of a mish-mash with northern desert thrown in since it was easier to paint.

Oh yeah, Modern Family is hilarious! XD I watched a good few seasons of that. XD I like the Middle too. XD
Aye, I just know mythology and cultures like the back of my hand. They are very similar, just Aztecs liked the more bold colors, and Mayans liked more soft colors. :3 Thats really how you tell. XD It still looks grand though!

Yeah I would go a little crazy going nonstop like that. Yes LOVE Modern Family and thankfully there is no laugh track!!! (hate laugh tracks xP) It's so clever! I think I've seen almost every episode at least twice if not more and they're still not boring! I think Phil is my favorite character, he is just so clueless! xD What was the Middle again? Not sure if I've seen it yet.
Thanks, I don't know mythology too well but I've been trying to work on my linguistics, at least being to recognize different languages even if I can't understand/read them.

The Middle is about a dysfunctional family who lives in the middle of nowhere, and its just really hard to explain, but its hilarious though! XD

Ha! Just watched that episode! "Act until your William hurts" oh and the park bench! "Phil is not a real man" when he sits on it and Jay takes the picture xD Though I must admit I had a pair of those zip off short/pants as a kid, they were convenient at the beach.
I'll have to check out The Middle, I've heard good things about it and might be able to relate to it living in the middle of nowhere myself lol
Good to know, course for anything in depth I'll check Wikipedia or the history channel's website so you don't have to write an essay or anything. I base some of my stories on mythology and most of them in part, not just the hero's journey. Helps bring in some depth and inspiration and it's fun when you twist or throw in bits from multiple stories into a new ones.
I'll need luck and better audio clips, my ancestral countries' languages Hungarian and Bulgarian sound very similar and so does Ukrainian a bit from what little I've heard but it sounds closer to Russian but not as harsh. At least I can tell Castilian Spanish and Latin Spanish apart having spent enough time with the Latin but can't yet on paper though I've noticed Castilian Spanish is structure differently. I'm pretty good with Asian languages but still have a lot to learn, need to focus on Chinese more and the different dialects since they vary more than I've noticed within other languages so far.
