To some it comes off as rude, but she doesn't mean to; she simply gets so focused on her work that she blocks out the outside world.

►:: P E R S O N A L I T Y ::◄Traits:
Sociable - willing to talk and engage in activities with other people; friendly.
- While at times she in her own little world, blocking out others around her, when she returns to reality she is very social and always willing to offer advice to those who seek it. While she does not partake in gossip or smalltalk, she is always up for deep, intellectual conversation.
Open-minded - willing to consider new ideas; unprejudiced.
- She has her beliefs and understands that others have theirs. She is always willing to talk about different aspects of religion, gods, and spirits even if she doesn't quite believe them herself. She believes that having different world views from one another is part of what make the world so unique and beautiful.
Postive - constructive, optimistic, or confident.
- Delphine believes there is a direct correlation between one's attitude (which she refers to as 'energy') and what is achievable in life. Because of this belief, she is often pushes others to see the best in themselves in order to make the best out of life.
Helpful - giving or ready to give help.
- Above all else, Delphine is a healer. Her beliefs are important to her but not as much as fixing a wounded body. Since she believes in Gaia (Mother Earth), she also believes that all things living are part of Gaia's divine creation and must be protected at all costs. If someone is in pain, it is her belief that Gaia also feels that pain since all life is connected to her, and therefore she feels it is her duty to help.
Spiritual - relating to religion or religious belief.
- Delphine is extremely spiritual and believes there is far more to the world than what the eye can see. Her views are not centered around any 'gods' but rather nature spirits, which are referred to as 'Ruux' by her original pack. She believes that if one can open their soul and their mind supernatural energies, they will be able to feel, and quite possibly see or hear, the spirits for themselves. Along with this belief in the supernatural comes a belief of a form of magic, a source of power that is felt rather than seen or heard.
Eccentric - unconventional and slightly strange.
- Delphine is, simply put, a bit strange. Her odd tendencies and quirks as well and her fear and respect for forces unseen make her a bit odd. Some may feel she is off her rocker entirely, but despite her strange beliefs and unique way of life she is actually rather intelligent and worldly. While most of her strange behaviors stem from her beliefs, she is still somewhat of an oddball, but her unique ways is something she is not ashamed of.
Easily-offended/Touchy - marked by readiness to take offense on slight provocation.
- While she is open-minded, she has little tolerance for those who are not. She respects any and all beliefs and asks the same in return. Those who purposefully go out of their way to insult her beliefs have no place around here, and she will make this fact known. That said, her beliefs are a touchy subject for her and she can be made irritated quite easily for those her do not take her faith seriously.
Superstitious - a belief or practice resulting in the fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation.
- With her belief in spirits and magic comes the belief in evil spirits (known as 'Ruuxun') and bad energy. There are places she refuses to go if she believes it is tainted land and believes highly in curses. She is—in her mind at least—able to sense evil energy and cursed spirits or beings. While she is able to 'cure' certain curses through a series of rituals, Delphine will avoid certain forms of powerful, evil energy at all costs and she believes it is extremely toxic.
Hard-headed - practical and realistic; not sentimental.
- She does not let emotions get in the way of her rituals or medicinal practices. She very much thinks like a doctor and does not let the emotional status of her patients overwhelm her. While Delphine is extremely spiritual, this does not mean her emotions are an open book nor does she sympathize her patients. It is not because she is cold or cruel, it because emotions can disturb the effectiveness of a healing ritual and therefore she must work around them. That being said, if one were to die under her care she will mourn for their loss and carry the guilt that she was unable to do more.
In Depth: All in all, Delphine is a bit of an eccentric gal with a strict belief system, but is very open-minded, patient, and a natural healer. She cares deeply about those around her as well as the spirits she feels bustling throughout nature and does her best to balance the spiritual aspects of life with the physical ones. When working, she can come off as a bit standoffish, but she merely becomes so invested in what she's doing that she mentally blocks out other things that get in the way of her rituals or healing processes. As long as her beliefs are respected, and one treads lightly as to not insult her, she is very sociable, intelligent, and enjoyable with deep conversation.
►:: H I S T O R Y ::◄Pre-Group History:
In the northern part of the Sanctuary, deep within a misty and seemingly endless grove of ancient, towering pine trees lived an isolated pack as old as the land itself. Some believed them to be a powerful bunch, capable of bringing death without ever even making contact with their victims. Others considered them a cult, worshipping dark and evil gods in exchange for powerful magic. Yet these wolves worshipped no gods, and did not kill unless provoked. They were merely communicators to the spirits, which they called Ruux, and were believers in energies that transcended the mortal realm. Not all understood their ways; many accused them of madness or evil simply because they feared what they didn't understand. Because of these misconceptions, the pack chose to isolate themselves within the misty woods, far from judging eyes.
This pack, led mostly by females as they are believed to be more sensitive to the spirits' whims than males, was home to Delphine. She was born to a pair of high ranking wolves along with two sisters, a truly blessed litter in the eyes of the pack. One of the sisters was bound to replace the High Priestess, an honor which would be decided depending on how well each sister followed the beliefs of the pack. From a young age, Delphine and her sisters worked hard to prepare for the honor of becoming high priestess one day. They learned everything from creating potions for both healing and spiritual enlightenment as well as how to communicate with the dead and the spirits of nature. These intense rituals, however, were not all chanting and prayer; often times getting close to the dead meant meant opening the gates to death via the sacrifice of a life.
Males were often used as sacrifices and willingly so. Sacrificial rituals to summon spirits and their magic were not common proceedings, but something the pack deemed necessary in order to achieve transcendence. To be chosen as the sacrifice by the High Priestess was seen as a great honor and guaranteed path to a peaceful existence in the afterlife as a spirit, and while denying to be sacrifice was seen as a great shame, it was never forced onto anyone. Those who refused to be sacrificed could possibly face being shunned if it was determined that their souls are too tainted to connect to the spirit realm, but no one was ever forced to die. While these sacrifices were not taken lightly, they understood it was for the greater good even if others did not see it that way.
Of the three sisters, Delphine was well on her way to becoming High Priestess. Over her lifetime she learned every chant, every symbol, every herb needed for transcendence rituals and was a natural healer. She was born with an innate ability to stay calm under pressure and seemed to have a keen prospective on the world. The High Priestess had her sights on Delphine to take over as her own time came to an end, and began to take the younger female under her wing to prepare her for new responsibilities. Until, they came. A pack from the south with an entirely different set of ideals came one day with one goal: to snuff out their ritualistic ways. The pack had heard whisperings of dark and evil "magic" and found it to be a cur on the land, one only they could wipe from history.
With the invasion ensued total chaos; some attempted to stay and fight, to protect the helpless spirits of the forest, but were quickly wiped out. Others saw these beastly wolves as demonic beings and fled for their lives. Fortunately for Delphine, she was sent by the High Priestess to go on a spiritual journey deep within the woods when the attack occurred. Days later upon her return, she was greeted with a horrific sight. In her mind, the land had clearly been laid waste by powerful and evil curse. She could not stay and mourn, she could only run for her life and pray this toxic magic did not infect her.
Despite her home and family being destroyed, Delphine would not let this block her path to the spirits. For many years she traveled learning about medicine, other religions, and how different landscapes attracted different spirits; whatever the world had to offer, she learned. It was during these travels that she met a young Saphira not long after her parents had passed. Saphira and Delphine became fast friends, both learning something from one another. Having never been a hunter, young Saphira taught Delphine better ways to hunt and track prey, while Delphine taught her of Gaia and the Ruux (spirits).
It would be years later when fate would bring the two she-wolves together again. Having just began to establish Harami, Delphine couldn't believer her eyes when she saw Saphira upon the coastal stretch of land which would soon become Harami. Despite being a wanderer, with a bit of pleading from Saphira she decided to stay and pass on her teachings of medicine and spiritual healing to the next generation as well to help the developing pack thrive. She quickly worked her way through the ranks, becoming a Tier 3 Shaman in record time. While she the group's main healer, her focus is more on the spiritual side of the Shaman role, and she aims to find a successor willing to focus on the medicinal responsibilities.

Other:
- Captain Saphira learned about Gaia and the Ruux through Delphine, who originally hailed from a pack that practiced a form a witchcraft, essentially.
- Many of her potions contain hallucinogenic plants or fungi in some form or another, which is probably what makes them so effective.
- She is well versed in poisonous plants and the difference in dose between a light sedative and something someone will never wake up from.
- She is terrified of humans and believes them to be evil entities bent on destroying everything they touch.
- She has been called a cultist or demonic in the past, and it is something she takes great offense to.
- Despite believing in ghosts, spirits, and demons, she is surprisingly earthly, making her a great healer.
- While she is a fantastic healer, she will still accredit any of her healing abilities to Gaia for providing the materials necessary.
