Description
Though I don't personally envision Cascadia as a Socialist-style People's Republic, I noticed many attempts at flags and emblems in that style. Many stick too close to the source material, to put it diplomatically, so I made one for all to use who wish to evoke that style. Socialist or People's Republic-inspired iconography is interesting in that it is a form of civic heraldry that goes out of its way to not borrow from feudal traditions while still representing a place. Many non-Marxist states still retain such universally recognizable emblems.

Fun fact: the star emblem in socialist iconography is actually representative of Internationalism and was borrowed from the Esperanto Movement. It was originally a green star. Since the socialists saw their struggle as an international one, they adopted the 5-pointed star (supposedly to symbolize the 5 continents) and recoloured it red- the colour of socialism since at least the Paris Commune. Ergo, it's perfectly natural to have the star be green, with a white & blue border on this "Internationalist Style" Emblem of Cascadia.
