Her soul was picked up by the Voodoo lord Papa Legba, and she became his champion. Marie would walk the Earth again as an immortal, fighting of the dark forces of the universe, most importantly Baron Samedi. She's had a hand in history, and has endured so much to make her numb to life as a whole.
